Remodel/ Regroup/ Refocus

It was not that long ago that my father and step mother were sharing our space to update and fix up our house. In a weeks time we fixed our kitchen and laundry room floor. Put new tile down in the kitchen, laundry room, and entry way. My dad and Aaron fixed our wonkey cabinets. Our living room and dining room was patched, primed, and painted to utter perfection. Let me say it is a huge improvement. The next week Aaron and myself were on a roll and decided that we were going to continue to finish repainting the entire kitchen and laundry room. It took us till the following weekend but it is finally finished.

I definately feel a sence of accomplishment by finishing everything. My living room is way more inviting to any gues that may enter this home. My house does no longer feel like a party house but a true and actuall HOME. The more I get done the more complete I feel. Its been a tough road so far, but it's getting easier. Family has really helped us along the way.

We did finish the redo in time for our first Holiday in the house. It was a nice time with family. Even though family can get really annoying I do appreciate the time I have with everyone. Cooking my first Thanksgiving turkey and dinner really was not that bad. I really didn't mind doing a lot of the stuff but seeing as our kitchen is rather small... get too many people around and it is cramped city. I for one cannot handle that many people in my kitchen. I can barely handle myself and Aaron. In the end it worked out fine. Jaden slept through lunch, and everyone left feeling full. It was a great time.

I have really been thinking more in terms of how I can save more money. I decided I should check out Goodwill for some new (to me) clothes. After searching I did end up finding a couple pair's of pants. Mind you they are high waist, but the shirts I wear cover that up and they fit AND were cheap. So, according to that I believe I got a deal. I would have liked to have found some shoe's but that is a shot in the dark sometimes. I think by seeing things that are in Goodwill, I believe we will be trying to find more things there. I think we get caught up on having to buy things new that we forget there are other options out there. Just another perspective.

Well I fully intended to type more tonight, but Im rather tired.
